Adding a vehicle
Section titled “Adding a vehicle”Tap Add Vehicle from the home screen and enter the registration number. Ride Ready fetches official data from the DVLA — make, colour, fuel type, year, and engine size — and populates your vehicle record automatically.
Document tracking
Section titled “Document tracking”For each vehicle, Ride Ready tracks:
- MOT — expiry date, fetched from the DVSA
- Road tax — expiry date and SORN status, fetched from the DVLA
- Insurance — optional; enter your policy details manually if you want to track renewals
You’ll see at a glance which documents are up to date and which are expiring soon.
MOT history
Section titled “MOT history”Ride Ready fetches your vehicle’s full MOT test history from the DVSA, including test results and any advisory or failure items.
Insurance tracking
Section titled “Insurance tracking”Insurance tracking is off by default. To enable it, open your vehicle and tap Add Insurance. You can link a shared policy to multiple vehicles if needed.
To disable insurance tracking and remove the linked policy, tap the policy and choose Remove.
Editing vehicle details
Section titled “Editing vehicle details”Tap the vehicle and then the edit icon to update any details the DVLA didn’t provide, or to correct inaccurate information.
